Our new Open-Out Shandals® are here!
This design was created to make Shandals® accessible to even more people. Over the years we've heard from customers who loved the comfort, freedom and natural feel of our footwear but found it difficult to bend their feet enough to slip into our original design.
So we set ourselves a new challenge: to create a Shandal® that opens out completely.
The result is a Shandal® that lies almost flat, allowing you to place your foot directly onto the sole without having to point your toes or force your foot into the shoe. The upper then wraps gently around your foot and fastens securely with either Velcro or discreet magnetic closures, making them much easier to put on while maintaining the comfort, support and distinctive character of our original design.
We're delighted with the result and hope this new style will allow many more people to experience the benefits of wearing Shandals®.
Shandals® are renowned for encouraging natural foot function. Their distinctive design allows the toes to spread and align naturally, helping to support healthy movement through the feet, ankles, knees and hips. Many customers with bunions or collapsing arches particularly appreciate the freedom and comfort that Shandals® provide.
Each pair is individually handmade to your unique feet, creating footwear that is comfortable, supportive and made to last.
Every pair of Open-Out Shandals® is made especially for you.
Simply select your size from the dropdown menu and we'll guide you through measuring your feet using our step-by-step instructions.
Once we've received your measurements, we'll usually send you a stock fitting pair so you can try the style at home. Together we'll assess the fit by email, photographs or video, discussing any adjustments needed before we make your final bespoke pair.
We'll also send leather samples so you can choose your preferred colours and finishes with confidence.
We use exceptionally soft, full-grain Italian leather that quickly moulds to your feet, becoming almost like a second skin.

Smooth rolled edges for exceptional comfort
Full suede lining
Flexible 5mm English leather insoles
Durable, grippy recycled tyre-tread rubber soles
Fully repairable and resoleable construction
